Edward Paul Reese, III (E.P.) is an outfielder who was selected in June of 2019 in the 25th round of the MLB draft. Reese left WSSU  with remaining eligibility to sign with the Houston Astros. He was the second WSSU player drafted since 1985. Reese, who is from Lexington, NC and is a graduate of North Davidson High School, where he hit .474 in his senior season and helped lead the Black Knights to the 2016 4-A state championship.
